Triton Ball

We had a great time at the Triton Ball in Lafayette. We drove and stopped in Atlanta on the way and visited with Elinor. While we were there we visited the King center. In Lafayette, we meet up with Mark & Joan, Chris & Ginger, Ray and Ellen, and John and Susan. We had a good visit with my parents, and john and susan. While we were there I took a swamp tour with Ray and Chris.

Mardi Gras Blizzard '03

Debbie threw a really nice Mardi Gras party. We had friends from work, church, and the neighborhood over. Just as the party was breaking up the snow storm hit. We had about 8 inches of snow. It took a few days to get things back to normal. We pulled the girls around on the sled.

Botanical Gardens

The Botanical Gardens were re-opened on the mall. Its the big glass building right next to the capitol. Its a lovely building and a warm place to go in the middle of the winter. The grils like to play in the fountain, so far they have not fallen in. We walked through the big dry reflecting pool and then wandered through the Model Art Museum. I like the big Caulder mobil suspended from the roof in the central atrium. I also like the mobile room it has some interesting structures in it.
