Disney World

We flew all Saturday night, and they went strait to the Magic Kingdom. Caroline and I were kind of sick but that didn’t stop us. We spent the day in the park, and finally got our room around 3. We really liked the Saratoga Springs resort- it helped that we had a villa with a lot of space. We took off on a long bus ride for the Hop-de-do review. It was a rousing pioneer vaudeville dinner.

Sunday we went to Disney Studios where we saw some really elaborate special effects at the sets of Indiana Jones. Caroline got to dance along with the high school musical performance, and we went to trick car show - Lights Camera Engines. Then we finished the night up at the magic kingdom riding more rides.

Monday we had breakfast in Epcot with the Princesses – the girls really enjoyed that, and then we spent the rest of the day in Epcot. I think we walked 5 miles but we went through each country’s exhibit. We had perfect weather and really enjoyed dinner in the Chinese restaurant – even Caroline at Chinese steak and rice. We all liked the Mexican boat ride we did it several times.

Tuesday we went to the Disney Animal Kingdom – the safari was really good. Catherine and I did the Expedition Everest Rollercoaster while Caroline and Debbie went to Camp Mickey. We all really enjoyed the Finding Nemo production. Catherine hated the Bugs production because they came out of the seat and scared her. Caroline didn’t like the dinosaur ride. We all liked dinner at he Animal Kingdom Lodge – it was really good and the lodge is beautiful inside.

Wednesday we went back to the Magic Kingdom to ride more rides. I think we went there three or four times during the week so we could ride some rides several times. Catherine and I road splash mountain – and got soaked- but we dried of quickly. We road the steam train around the Magic Kingdom and then went back to Epcot. We Had dinner in a German beer garden – we must have been there 2 hours listening to the oomph band. Then we got lucky and had a short wait for the Soaring ride – it suspends you in front of an Imax screen and you fly over California.

Thursday we went back to the Magic Kingdom. Friday we met Tom, Nicole and the girls for breakfast. Celebrated Nicole's 40th birthday with the Disney characters and then spent most of the day together playing and visiting at the Beach Pool. Friday night the girls went to the Pirates and Princesses party at the Magic Kingdom till midnight! Where they got to ride more rides and see more characters.

Saturday morning we got up early, and flew home. We got in early in the afternoon and had a quiet evening. We had a fantastic trip but it was nice to be home.

Redmond Watershed

Caroline and I drove over to the Redmond Watershed park and walked around to get some exercize. The wood ducks were out on the lake. Spring is almost here.
