Carolines book report practice

Caroline read and is doing a book report on "The Trouble with Tuck". Its about a dog that goes blind. She has worked in class to organize her book report, on to a set of note cards and now is rehersing it to present in class. She really liked the book and enjoys doing the report. Toward the end of the video she reads her favorite passage (at warp speed). I showed her the recording to see if it will help her remember to speak slowly. You will enjoy it, she is very animated, but won't be able to understand alot of what she says.

McWhirter farm

Caroline and I dropped by the farm to visit the animals - she wanted to take pictures so here are a few shots she took. She brings another meaning to point and shoot!

Thanksgiving

We had a really nice Thanksgiving meal; Debbie cooked the main course, Kim made the appetiers, and Judy and Stephan took care of the wine. Catherine made two of the pies! We had a delightful time.

Christmas Shopping

Caroline wanted to go to a Christmas Craft show in downtown Seattle. So we went downtown while Catherine was at Morgan's birthday party. Caroline got to see Santa, after we shopped for a while we walked down to Pike Street for dinner. We ate at an Italian place called the Pink Door - there's no sign, just a pink door. I think were going back for my birthday! it was good.

Concur 2007 User Conference

Concur's user conference was at the JW Marriott in Pheonix. We had over 1000 customers and 100+ employees. This was three days full of customer meetings, and sessions going back to back.
The property was very nice, and the weather could not have been better.

Columbia Winery

Saturday Debbie and I dropped by Columbia's "Taste of Red" and tried their crop of red wine. I'm not a big fan of reds, but this was a good chance to sample a wide variety. We had one barrel sample - which will age for 10 more months before its bottled - it was a nice way to kill a little time.
