Birthday Party

Catherine had about 15 friends at the Redmond pool. They swam and played water games for and hour and then ate cake and opened presents. They all had a good time, and the cleanup was a snap! Happy Birthday!

Happy Mardi Gras

We could not go to Mardi Gras this year, so we did the next best thing - we had a Mardi Gras party. We had 8 couples over; Debbie made Etouffee, Jambalaya, Fricassee, Bread Pudding, and a Chocolate Pie. It was decicious; and the table was decorated with a full set of Mardi Gras china. There are not may pictures because the girls took my video camera and played with it for most of the party. We had a really good time, and the food was delicious.

Mukilteo Swim Meet

We had a nice clear day to drive up to Mukilteo for the swim meet. As usual Catherine had a good meet -the way they operate it hard to say how well she finished but she won several heats. We Drove around and could see the snow covered tips of the Cascade mountains when it was clear.

Seahawks Playoff Game

A friend from the office had an extra ticket to the Seahawks vs. Redskins wildcard NFC playoff so I went. The rain held off and it was pefect football weather. The stadium lived up to its reputation of being really loud - about 112 decibels - enough to make your ears ring! It was a really good game, the Redskins gave us a scare in the 3rd quarter; the Seahawks came back scored, and then piled on an interception run back for a touchdown to put the game away. The Seahawks won 35-14 ! It was a great game to watch live.

Snow Tubing at Snoqualme Pass

We went snow tubing with Morgan, Mark, and Kim. We've have had an almost record snow fall in the mountains this year so there was plenty of snow! I think there was an 8 foot base on the mountain. The wind was whipping around and it snowed the entire time. Some times when we were going down the run it was blowing so hard that you had to cover your eyes. We all had a great time - some how I didn't get a picture of Mark and Kim- we were too busy having fun. We stopped at the XXX Drive-in on the way home and had our fill of burgers and root beer. Thanks to Mark for driving!
