Catherine's Pictures

Catherine got her first digital camera for Christmas. I think she does quite well! Here is a set of pictures she took in February. Of course the animals are a favorite subject, but she has some suprisingly good sunset shots - i just have to teach her not to photograph through the window.

Fun in the Snow

We had about 8 inches of snow fall this weekend. The girls spent allot of time playing outside. They were sledding right off of the hill in the front yard. Caroline really enjoyed the sledding, she usually slides once and is done. Today she wore herself out sledding!

Trip to the American History Museum

Caroline and I went to the American History museum Saturday while Debbie and Catherine were doing things around the house in preparation for company. She and I did the whole museum - every floor, every exhibit in four hours. Her favorite thing is the doll house exhibit.

Colonial Day

The fourth grade class attends the annual Colonial day event. They participate in colonial activities like cooking and homemaking, square dancing, calligraphy, toys and games, and hygiene. Debbie ran the cooking station where the kids made Johnny cakes, blueberry jam, and lemon aide. I made the fire place mantle. Catherine really enjoyed it.
