USCG Eagle on the Potomac
The Coast Guard's Eagle is right out side my office on the Potomac.
One of my friends at the office snapped this picture. It was built in 1937 in Hamburg Germany, and claimed by the US as a WWII prize in 1946. The Eagle serves as a seagoing classroom for approximiately 175 cadets and instructors from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Every once an a while we look out the window and see a tall ship, or some navy vessel cruising.
